Mission

A Good Option is a new NYC-based organization that aims to create a community of Jewish tech givers. A Good Option solicits donations (and pledges) of equity from early-stage tech companies and their founders, employees, and investors and channels proceeds from eventual exits to US Jewish and Israeli charitable causes, among other nonprofits. Each donor will be able to recommend the nonprofit organization(s) of their choice to receive proceeds from their exits.

Beyond providing additional funding for important causes including in the Jewish and Israeli non-profit spaces, A Good Option serves tech givers by providing the infrastructure to support donations of early-stage equity and access to a unique community based on shared values and relevant programming to help prepare for a more socially impactful future.

The Tmura Story

A Good Option is inspired by the success of our sister organization, Tmura: The Israeli Public Service Venture Fund, which was launched in Israel in 2002. Tmura has received equity donations from 910 Israeli companies, with more joining weekly, and has “cashed in” $34 million to date – from successful exits including Waze, Riskified, Outbrain, CyberArk, BioCatch and many others – with proceeds going to support a broad variety of innovative Israeli youth and education nonprofits.
